Victor Durant Lamb, born June 2, 1948, died July 24, 2011 following a valiant battle with cancer.
He leaves behind his loving wife of sixteen years, Robin Hill Lamb, whom he lovingly greeted each morning with a cheerful, “Hey, Beautiful!” He is also survived by his daughter Lisa, and grandchildren Aidan, Melanie and Patrick; his mother, Mary Baldwin Lamb; sisters Becky Howard and her husband, Frank, and Karen Roberts and her husband Bobby; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Vic was preceded in death by his father, John Leroy Lamb, Jr. and his daughter Tracy Durant Lawson.
Vic dedicated himself wholeheartedly to his work with Allpoints, formerly Daniels Express. He absolutely loved sailing when his work schedule would allow it, and also enjoyed surf fishing. An avid pool player, Vic participated in two tournaments in Las Vegas.
A memorial service will be held at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Wilmington, NC at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2011.
