Timothy Tai Son 54, of Wilmington passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter.

Timothy was born in Seoul, Korea on March 20, 1957 the son of the late David Son and Kyu Yeo Hong Son who resides in Chicago. He is also preceded in death by brother Daniel Son.

Also surviving are his wife Diane Hewett Son and her daughters Ashley Britt and Meagan Gower, granddaughter Corgan Gower, sisters Gracie Joo, and Joy Oh, special nephew Larry Burroughs, Jr, special friend Brenda Lawson, Special son-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, and brother-in-laws, several nieces & nephews, mother & father-in-Law Mr. & Mrs. Richard Lucas, and special dog Bolo Son.

A graveside Funeral service will be conducted 3:00 PM Monday September 19, 2011 at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The Reverend Sam Hill, Sr. will officiate.

Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Flowers, Roger Flowers, Jr., Richard Lucas, Jr., Richard Lucas, III, Michael Lucas, Jimmy Son, Larry Burroughs, Sr., Larry Burroughs, Jr., Wiliam Theusch, Jason Theusch, Chris Britt, and Cory Gower.

Memorial may be made in lieu of flowers to Timothy Son memorial fund c/o Cape Fear Credit Union.

    You are my Best Friend and I am so sorry that I can't be there with you ! Me and Ericthink and talk about you and Timmy everyday> I have missed you so much. I really am so sorry for your loss. He was a unique and special individual who touched more than he realized. He is safe and pain free now sleeping in the arms of an angel. We will see him again one day.
