    Jessica (Lewis) Thomas says:
I had the pleasure of being in Ms. Hatch's English class at Dixon High School (class of 2003) and I just wanted to express how thankful I am to have met her and been taught by her. She was an amazing lady with a wonderful spirit and her passion for literature was infectious. She is, by far, the best teacher I've ever had and it is truly a loss felt by many. My deepest sympathies to her family.

    Brittany Oliver says:
Ms. Hatch will always be in my heart. She was family to me as well as my teacher for two years in High School. She is the reason I made it through High School. My father has ALS, and because of her I learned how to cope with his illness. I was just emailing with her. She truly was the most beautiful person I knew. I will always love and miss her dearly.

Mrs. Hatch, though tough as nails, was a dedicated, inventive teacher. She inspired me to think outside the literary box and invested valuable hours into my life, for which I will forever be grateful. Mrs. Hatch, you will be missed, but I pray I see you again one day when I leave this world behind and hopefully join you in heaven.

Ms. Hatch was a rare find and a wonderful addition to Dixon High School for so many years. Even if you never had her as a teacher, you could not escape her energetic personality. Her legacy lives on in all of us who's lives she touched. We will never forget the amazing person that she was. She will live on forever on our hearts.
