Mary Elizabeth Stewart

Mary Elizabeth Stewart of Leland, NC, died Sunday, July 18, 2010, at her residence.

She was born in Woburn, Ma, on October 8, 1925, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Ascenta Gangi and was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Greco, two sisters, Angie and Leona, three brothers, Londo, Tony, and Sammy.

Surviving besides her husband, Wallace Floyd Stewart are: five sons, Thomas A. LaMontanaro of Leland,NC, Richard LaMontanaro and wife Bickyee of Albuquerque, NM, Samuel J. LaMontanaro and wife Elizabeth of Orange County, NY, John Greco and wife Jeri of Kingwood, TX, Michael Greco and wife Karen of KY, three daughters, Philonena A. Seuss and husband Lawrence of Woonsocket, RI, Susanne Hassanpour and husband Hassan of Palm Harbor, FL, Mary Greco of Kingwood, TX, a sister, Carmela Gangi of Woburn, MA, 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010, at First Baptist Church of Leland, by the Rev. Dwight Jenkins.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. and from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Village Road Memorial Chapel, 525 Village Road, Leland.

    I met "Nanny" when she moved to Houston Tx and spent many wonderful hours with her. She was the most amazing lady, full of life and laughter. I will never forget her. My prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
