Donna Steele Shawver and John Shawver says:
Very saddened to learn of John's death, and my husband and I send our sincere condolences to his family. I was a classmate of John's beginning in the 8th grade, and our paths have crossed a few times since then --- most recently when we would run into him playing music at a local venue. We're so sorry we will not be seeing him around again --- in this lifetime at least. Wishing comfort and peace to his loved ones.

    Barbara and Mike Earley says:
We have many fond memories of Johnny especially during High School; Hoss on the football team and Barbara in Mrs. Sessoms' class and on our European trip with Mrs. Martin. Johnny was one of the smartest and funniest people we have known! Sandy and Candice, as you know, only time will take away the pain but leave you with fond memories. Our thoughts are with you.
