George Robert Larkins Sr., 73 of Wilmington died Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter .

Bobby was born January 19, 1937 in Acme-Delco, son of the late George Edgar and Arlene Potter Larkins. He was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey L. McCartney and a brother, Ennis G. Larkins.

He was an avid fisherman, golfer and racecar fan.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Delores Crisco Larkins, son George Robert Larkins Jr. and wife Reneé, and grandson Harrison Larkins. Bobby is also survived by brothers Don Larkins (Carolyn) and Alvin Larkins (Martha), sisters Katie L. McKinney and Linda L. Stewart (Robert), as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of Oleander United Methodist Church, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Sunday. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday, June 21, 2010 with Reverend Linda Taylor officiating. Interment will follow the service at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
