Gale Gause Potter 74, of Rocky Point died Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter.

Gale was born in Columbus County June 2, 1936 the daughter of the late Thorbon L. and Louise Duncan Gause, and was the widow of Capt. David C. Potter. She was also preceded in death by a son David Potter, Jr.

Surviving are sons Gary Potter and wife Stephanie Ann, Greg Potter and wife Crystal, Wayne Potter, Brother Jimmy Gause and wife Sue, sisters Myrtle Williamson, Jean Hilburn, Jackie England, Marian Ballenger, and Dixie Lara, grandchildren Nikkita Neumann, J.B. White and Kim Lawrence, great-granddaughter Aaliyah Neumann, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be conducted 3:00 PM Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Wilmington Funeral & Cremation. A reception will follow the service.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends whom she loved very much. She loved to cook and visit with all her family and friends.
