Edna Earl Moore Brannan
Edna Earl Moore Brannan, of Leland, NC, died Sunday, January 16, 2011, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Hampton, Va, on September 10, 1954, the daughter of late Charles and Margaret (Babson) Moore and was preceded in death by a sister, Rhonda Moore, two step sisters, Helen Lee and Willa Rhodes.
Edna was a cosmetologist for 33 years. She loved her church and was a member of Gloryland Baptist Church. An avid Nascar fan, her favorite driver was #48 Jimmy Johnson, and she also enjoyed singing, gambling, bingo, her dogs, and especially styling hair.
Surviving are: two sisters, Sandra Jones and husband Lonnie of Hampstead, NC, and Wanda Ramsey and husband Louis of Leland, NC, two brothers, Edward Moore and wife Mary of Leland, NC, and Ray Moore and wife Linda of Leland, NC, and a long time friend Diane “Pistol” Morrow.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 pm Thursday, January 20, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Leland, Leland, NC, by the Rev. Marty Campo. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Wilmington, NC.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 pm Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Village Road Funeral and Cremation Service, 525 Village Road, Leland, NC.
Pallbearers will be: David Jones, Kevin Jones, Richard Millis, Joe Beasley, Ray Moore Jr., and Michael Moore.
