Mr. Dirl Jones, age 80, of Boiling Spring Lakes died Friday, July 1, 2011 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter.

Mr. Jones was born in Mt. Carmal, P.A. on 07/12/1930. He graduated from Ashland High School and was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired after 30 years of service with the 7-Up Co. and moved to Boiling Spring Lakes where he worked at the Fox Squirrel Country Club, and most recently was a greeter at the Southport Wal-Mart.

He is survived by his wife Wilma of 58 years, Son, David ( Dee-Dee) of Supply, Daughter Kay (Paul) of Bolivia, Grand Daughter Alexis Cheatham (Sandy) and Great-Grandson Ayden of Boiling Spring Lakes.

Services will be held at the Boiling Spring Lakes Community Center on Saturday, 07/09/2011 at 3:00 pm.
