    Debi Creech says:
Dear David and family and especially Darlene's mom; I just found out that Darlene has gone home. It saddened me deeply just to know her laugh was no longer among us. Oh she loved her family so very much. I will always remember her as a dear friend that had a huge heart. She and I saw each other during the end of 2010 and early 2011 and shared some great laughs over our memories. She came up and we went out to eat and then we took the time to meet again but then got busy. David no mother ever loved a son any more than Darlene loved you. Darlene's mom was at the top of her list as well and one of her most geniune concerns was that her mom would be okay so y'all make sure you take care of her mom and your grandmom. I would love to hear from you sometime. Please know I am so sorry for your grief - remember she believed in Jesus, she knew her Father in Heaven, she loved others and as long as we live the same we are going to see her again. Much love to the whole family, Debi

    Barbara Wallace says:
David, I am so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was a wonderful friend to me when I lived in Wilmington. I think you were way too young to remember, but I have a daughter named Kandee. You and she used to be best of friends until we moved in 1984. Mom made a gorgeous dress with a pinafore for Kandee for Easter. When I went to the hospital to have Tim, Mom came every day to clean my house. What a blessing it was to come home to a clean house with a new baby. I have many memories of her, but a few stand out. Do you remember you and Kandee jumping on Mom's bed? Kandee got knocked out. Mom was the first one in the room. I also remember you chasing Mom around the car with a frog. She wasn't a fan of frogs, nor was I. You laughed so hard. I also have a picture of you and Kandee in the kitchen wearing wigs on your head. Those are precious memories I shall treasure. I hope you cherish the beautiful memories with your Mom and hold them close to your heart. Blessings, Ms Barbara Wallace (formerly Kennison)
