    Christian Hope says:
I had the pleasure of working with Chris in two neighborhoods for the last several years. Being a teacher, we had a lot of stories to share. This past March we shared a dinner at Salt Works and solved the problems of the world. He was always worried about others and their feelings. He wanted to make sure you were ok and would go out of his way to help. I was out for my birthday dinner when I got the news of his passing and I was deeply saddened. I only wish I could have done something to help him with the decision that he had made. He will be missed by me and my husband and the country that he so deeply loved.

    Debbie Lentz says:
With great sadness, my heartfelt sympathy goes out to Chris' family. I have worked with Chris for the past 3 years as his assistant. In that time, we have had many long talks about life, love, family and the world. Chris loved his family so much and talked about them all of the time. Chris was a proud Marine who was always there to serve. He was a kind soul who always went out of his way to do whatever he could to help. If one could learn anything from his death, it would be that we should all strive harder to reach out to others. In other words, we should all be more like Chris. He never missed the opportunity to say "Thank You for everything you do". He was always so appreciative. I will certainly miss hearing him say, "You rock". I don't think Chris even realized what a profound effect he had on others but it was my pleasure to have known him. He was my friend. Chris had a difficult journey and he carried the weight of the world on his shoulders. The weight has now been lifted and he can now rest in peace. Chris, I will miss you!

May God wrap you all in His arms of love and may He comfort you as only He can! I was Chris's 6th Grade teacher @ St. Pete Christian. I enjoyed teaching Chris and have never forgotten him. Sounds like he has impacted his world in a positive way. A great legacy indeed! God bless you!
